    About Us

    Experienced Breeders

This is the 5th litter of this beautiful designer breed, the Auburn Bernese Mountain Dog. They are raised in a healthy, loving environment with siblings and their parents.

    Happy, Healthy Bloodline

The Aubenese is a very large breed mountain dog. A cross between Great Pyrenees, Bernese Mountain Dog and Kangal. They don't have the health problems of many  inbred purebred dogs.

The largest males average 130+ pounds. Smallest females average 65 pounds. Some keep their blue eyes! Some have double dews claws.

    They are not apartment dogs!

A large fenced or walled area is required for unsupervised time outside in any urban or suburban environment. Homesteads and ranches can rely on their territorial instincts with proper training.

Aubernese are double coated and should not be shaved.

Double-coated dogs have two layers of fur: A harsh topcoat and a soft undercoat. These two coats grow independently of one another and to different lengths. The soft undercoat is shorter and grows much faster than the topcoat. The undercoat sheds and is released once or twice a year.

    A Furever Friend

The natural qualities of the Aubernese: Affectionate, intelligent and great with kids... adorable, snugglers, and effective guard dogs.

They are a livestock guardian mountain dog. Incredibly agile like a mountain goat.

They are lazy. A typical day in their natural life would include long days laying around and occasionally getting up to chase down and eat a wolf that got too close to the flock.

Aubernese puppies need large a breed puppy diet for at least 18 months.

If choosing dry dog food, we recommend something like purina large breed puppy chow. We also recommend vitamins like sure grow 100 or other multi vitamins if feeding a home made diet.

Puppies need rest! 20 hours a day for a year.

Our puppies are given two dewormings and one 6-in-1 vax by 8 weeks old. The earliest they can be adopted is 8 weeks. 12 weeks is preferred to allow for further socialization with our other dogs. They learn from the pack.
